My Story

Cheryl's Culinary Journey

MHSc, HBSc

Cheryl brings her unique warmth, energy and attention to detail to everything she does.

Cheryl’s lifelong passion for culinary pursuits began as a young child, and she has developed and honed her craft over the past forty years. She’s prepared food for events with up to 80 people, both appetizers and five-course meals, and she continues to enjoy experimenting and discovering new flavors. Her culinary offerings range across many cultural influences and include familiar standard dishes and more unique gourmet recipes. Cheryl strives to use only the freshest, unprocessed ingredients, including growing her own herbs and ensuring menus are prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Always ready for a new challenge, Cheryl’s career began in healthcare, first as a Speech-Language Pathologist, then as the owner of a healthcare rehabilitation services company, employing over 55 therapists and staff. Beyond the care for her two wonderful children, any free time she had was consumed by her two primary passions: writing and cooking. Cheryl’s writing has been published in journals across Canada, the US, and the UK, and has placed in 51 competitions and garnered multiple Pushcart Prize nominations. Her MG novel, “Habitan,” was released last fall by Chicken House Press.

She is excited to share her culinary skills in her new location with new friends and customers! She looks forward to hearing your food dreams and creating a menu unique to you that will please any palate!
